DRONE SERVICES

Drone surveying is an exciting example of just how technological advancements can benefit the Surveying industry. Our surveys are undertaken with professional drone equipment consisting of accurate RTK georeferenced drone images or by PPK post processing of the images to deliver survey grade accuracy results.

The advantages of drone surveys are many and varied. By having a true birds-eye view of a site, you can fully appreciate the limitations and scope of a project. Drones can go where people simply can’t! Their onboard technology allows an amazing portfolio of data to be collected. 2D and 3D Orthomosaic Mapping, 3D Modelling, Thermal Mapping and even Multispectral mapping are all examples of what can be achieved with a highly equipped drone.

  • Our CASA & ReOc licensed aerial surveyors use the latest drone software to survey large areas in a timely manner. By using our GNSS Trimble VRS Now, we keep our survey control accuracy to +/-50mm on all drone photogrammetry surveys. All surveys are performed on AHD and GDA2020.

  • Using the RPAS technology, we can re-create roof profiles that are inaccessible using traditional methods of surveying or laser scanning. RPAS/Drones can fly over a property quickly and efficiently from which we can reproduce the roof profiles to be added to the working model or survey. The use of drones are also a cost effective and safe alternative for roofing inspections for Building Inspections or Insurance works.

  • Using aerial survey techniques, you can manage extraction volumes, quantify stockpiles, and monitor changes through periodic pickups. Construction sites are busy places that can have multiple contractors working across multiple works on any given day. Drone technology can accurately and safely monitor sites quickly and efficiently, not only helping the client but reducing costs.

Using aerial photographs, our project monitoring includes, not just visual data, but a complete and accurate topographic 3D model and orthophoto giving the client a far better overview of the project.

  • Even the most challenging sites can be surveyed quickly. By flying back and forth across a property, a drone can snap many more images and gather more data than a human can. No matter how large the area under survey is, we can complete the survey within a short timeframe.
